When The Sun Begins Another Day, We Two Are One

When the sun

Creates another day, we two are one.

Blent like the light and rose-leaves. Blessed hour!

I seem to bathe in nectar, and the waves

Come murmuring round me more delicious still,

A preface to my volume of delight.

Now let me lead thee homeward at slow pace,

Loitering at every turn, as lovers will,

Creating seraphs out of every leaf,

And themes for dalliance from the softest sound,

Thus we depart with kisses.
